What insora360 sells, what it costs, and how payments and refunds work.
What insora360 is
insora360 is a professional network for the insurance industry. Membership is free. Creating a profile, the feed, connecting with other members, messaging, insurance jobs (browsing and applying) and free events cost nothing.
What we sell
insora360 sells tickets to paid insurance-industry events, such as conferences, workshops and networking events, that event hosts list on insora360. Each event is run by its host. You can see the events on the Events page.
- Prices are set by the host, in US dollars, and shown on each event page before you buy. A host can’t change the price once registration has begun.
- insora360 takes the payment, through Stripe, as the merchant of record. The charge appears as insora360 on your card statement. insora360 then pays the host their share.
- Each ticket is a personal ticket with a QR code that the host scans at check-in.
- Paid tickets for online or hybrid events are sold on our website, insora360.com. Free events and paid in-person events can also be registered for in the iOS app.
- Some listings are outside conferences that sell their own tickets. Those show a link to the event’s own website, and insora360 does not sell them.
Fees
Ticket buyers pay the listed ticket price, with no added fee. insora360 does not collect sales or other taxes on tickets; hosts are responsible for any taxes on their events.
Event hosts receive their payouts through a Stripe Connect account, which they set up before ticket sales open. For each paid ticket, insora360 keeps:
- a platform fee of 10% of the ticket price, and
- the card processing fee of 2.9% + 30¢.
The host pays both fees: they are taken out of the ticket price before the host’s payout. Free events have no fees.
| The buyer pays | $100.00 |
|---|---|
| insora360 fee (10%) | $10.00 |
| Card processing fee (2.9% + 30¢) | $3.20 |
| The host receives | $86.80 |
Refunds and cancellations
- Tickets are not refundable, unless the host cancels the event. If a host cancels an event, every paid ticket is refunded in full. An event with paid tickets can’t be cancelled until those tickets are refunded.
- The host can refund a buyer’s ticket themselves, from Manage event, for example if the buyer can’t attend. When the host refunds a ticket, insora360 returns its 10% fee to the host, and the host pays the card processing fee (2.9% + 30¢) on it. When insora360 refunds a ticket, it returns both fees to the host.
- insora360 may also refund a ticket if an event doesn’t take place as described or breaks our terms.
- Refunds are issued through insora360’s Stripe payments. A refund returns the full ticket price to the original payment method, usually within 5–10 days. Refunds are for the whole ticket; there are no partial refunds.
- Free registrations can be withdrawn by the attendee at any time before they are used.
Questions about a payment or a refund: support@insora360.com. The full rules are in the Terms of Service.
Payment security
Card payments are processed by Stripe. You enter your card details on Stripe’s checkout page; insora360 never sees or stores your full card number. Hosts give their identity and bank details to Stripe, not to insora360.
